I have been reading Shaykh Khalil's website eversince a fews days back when I got the link from Ihsan's blog. My hubby never spoke about this Shaykh neither did I made any effort to find out. May Allah (swt) give me guidance.
It was only until reasonly when I knew he was visiting us all to give sermons and talks that I became interested to know who he is.
I first read his post http://www.reflectonthis.com/blog/2005/11/jesus_peace_be_.html which made me want to keep reading on.
Today, I read about how and why did he convert to Islam ...see here.
When I finally reach the ending paragraph below, I could feel the tears... Somehow, I felt touch with the beauty of our religion. It was indeed an inspiring and beautiful interpretation of his journey to find inner peace. Masya'allah.....

I accepted Islam: “I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah (the One God), and I bear witness that Muhammad is His Final Messenger.” I was now a Muslim, which literally means, one who surrenders himself to the Creator, thereby obtaining peace.

PS Sometimes I envy these ppl who found Islam on their own. Definitely their iman are more solid than mine :(

indeed, it seems that some of our muslim converts have stronger imans than us born muslims.... and we are learning from them...masya'allah.... May Allah show us to the right path. ameen.
