Shaykh Afeefudin @ Masjid Baitul Aman

Alhamdullilah, we have arrive home safely from our roadtrip to KL.

Hubby drove there for the first time. Our Little FIT passed with flying colours.

The drive to KL was smooth if not considering the long jam at Woodlands check point. The drive home was a little scary as it rained heavily on the North South Highway and we even spotted a few truck accidents along the way.

Alhamdullilah, our intention to visit Masjid Baitul Aman was made possible with the permission of Allah (swt ). We stayed at Sucasa Apartments at Jalan Ampang. And from the map, it seemed that the masjid was about 15mins walk.

To our delightful surprise, it was only 2 minutes away, just behind the school which is next to Sucasa.

It was an unplanned visit to the mosque for Isyak Prayers on the 1st day as the original plan was to pray Dhuha there on the 2nd day. I actually didn't want hubby to go as it was night, and we are not familiar with the roads. But hubby really wanted to do Jemaah prayers for Isyak and said he wanted to explore. I stayed behind at the hotel with my family and Little Habib.

Shortly after , hubby called me to get our son ready as he said there is a majlis syarahan and the mosque is very near. So we got ready, went down, and walked and to my surprise, Shaykh Afeefudin was at the mosque giving a talk in English at the mosque after Isyak prayers.. Masya'allah...I just feel that its Allah (swt) gift to us for wanting to visit his house.

Shaykh Afeefudin is originally from Iraq , from the descendants of Shaykh Abdul Qadir Al-Jailani, and staying in KL under the invitation of the Malaysian Government. Those who have seen him will be mesmerised by his blue eyes. He usually teaches at his residence, but because his area was pack with people because of the elections, he shifted his class that night to Masjid Baitul Aman.

We sat and listen to the ceramah. I didn't join in the prayer as I had done Jamak Qasar during Magrib.
The next day, my whole family minus my brothers walked to the masjid to perform solat Dhuaha. I can tell, my mum was happy.

Overall, its was a fun trip. Sucasa Apartments is good when going with family, can share the 2 bedroom apartment. The swimming pool was rather clean and the breakfast served at poolside was good. KLCC was about 15 mins drive.

My bro brought us to the best makan places. Didnt know that the nasi campur and asam pedas is so much better in KL than in Singapore. The wedding at Marriot was beautiful with lots of entertainment and class and even Tom Jones made an appearance.

But of course, nothing else could beat my visit to the masjid. That to me is the most special of all.
I really have to be thankful.

The ’Ibaad-u-Ragmaan Qadiri Jamaa’ah will take to the road once again when it goes to Masjid al-Taubah in Chatsworth in the Western Cape on Saturday, 28 January 2012. The Swartland town is off the N7 motorway, and 56 kilometres from Cape Town and 23 kilometres from Malmesbury. The Sheikh, Haji Achmat Damon al-Qadiri al-Chishti, will direct by example by either leading the reading of the dhikrullah himself, or he may delegate the lead for the rest of the Jamaa’ah to respond in unison and in melodious, moderate tones.

Imam Achmat Fataar will deliver the vote of thanks. A mouth-watering meal will be served at the close. Young and old are asked to join in.
