Holiday in Bali ....

clouds ? Yes... were on board Singapore airlines.... for a 2 1/2 hour flight....
Coudnt wait to begin our beach holiday ! .... A picture of Kuta beach...

We just came back from a short get-away in Bali, Indonesia... Alhamdullilah, we are back here safely after spendings 4 days in a resort in front of Kuta beach.
Really needed this break... wish it didnt have to end so fast, but then again, I was looking forward to return cos we didnt bring Little Habib for this trip...

so what do u expect? we both had a romantic and stress free time lah.....
stuff like holding hands, cuddling, and just watching the waves splash to the shore which now seldom happens in our day to day lives happens so naturally.....we really needed this break.

We truly enjoyed Bali. Personally for us, It was an eye-opening and also sad at times to see people with Malay faces but practising the Hindu religion and not Islam.
Hubby was quite affected when he sees smalls kids but practising a religion which is not Islam. At one point, he told a small boy " wahai anak kechil, lihatlah bahawa agama yang sebenar adalah agama nabi Muhammad ( saw ) .. " and I was like, "dear, its not their fault. Its a tradition passed down over generations ".....

Hubby refused to visit the Tampak Spring Holy Temple which was in our tour list. Luckily our tour guide who is also a Hindu, understood, and changed the visit to a coffee and chocolate plantation which happen to be very interesting looking at chocolate and coffee plants ! We were served freshly brewed coffee and chocolate drink.. yummy.....

Looking at the people there, offering offerings along the roadside and mostly everywhere else, seeing them praying to idols, we felt blessed that we are born Muslims. Asides from the difference in religion, Balinese people are really nice and they too believe in doing good and supressing their evil desires to attain heaven when they die.

Here are some pictures which I took without us in it... enjoy.. : )

Our Crib at Ramada Bintang Bali, in Kuta Bali.

Beach facing resort and very nice staff. One of the staff there, Mr Masyuri is a Muslim and he happens to know some of hubby's friends in Singapore. So he was quite nice in telling us where to get Muslim food and where is the mosque. Like us, he too liked visiting Habaibs, and he told us stories of the habibs in Indonesia....He even wanted to bring us to a qashidah fuction in the kampung on Thurs night but I was too chicken to go.

Swimming pool... huge and very relaxing

Watching the Barong Dance performance....mystical creatures they believe in.

Went up the hills of Kintamani to view the Batur Volcano....cool weather and atmosphere...but loads of kids who begged us for $$....

The tour took us further inland through terrace feilds....very nice to see the padi feilds that I usually see in tv or in pictures only.

Nearby our hotel, we managed to find a mosque ! Masjid Darul Hasanah. We stopped and prayed Dhuha.

Sadly, according to the iman and care-taker of the mosque, no one visits this mosque except for Solah Jumaat. So hubby's wish of praying Isyak Jamaah in the mosque not possible.

We visited several spas. I had Balinese Massage and facial .. cheap cheap... Hubby too tried the Balinese Massage and reflexology. Not bad he says....

It wasnt difficult to find Halal food. Though many places are non-halal as they serve pork, you still will be able to find some warongs which is 1oo% Halal, so they claim... But due to hygeine wise, we stuck to western food mostly.... just about 100 metres from our hotel was the Discovery Shopping centre which has has KFC, Pizza Hut and A&W which was Halal certified..... again, a hearty meal was really cheap !

We managed to find middle-eatern food too in Kuta area !.....

.....so basically, its the end of my holiday..will be working tomorrow.. and for the rest of the year... May Allah bless me with more of such breaks ! : )
